This service is suitable for those cats where the coat is more dirty, dull or where skin seems dry or ‘flaky’. A wet groom offers all of the services of a dry groom, while also including a bath with a range of high-quality shampoos, blow dry and final styling.

A full clip is a complete trim of your cat’s coat. You can also request the ‘lion cut’ style, where a longer length of fur is kept on the face, mane, feet and tail area. Clipping is most suited to older cats or those with difficulty grooming themselves, to support them in staying happy and healthy. It may also be required if your cat is extremely matted, so that the mats can be removed and their coat can grow back healthily.

While not always necessary, a 'hygiene' clip can be a popular service to remove fur from your cat's tummy and trouser area.
Helpful in cats who have had litter-box accidents or are unable to groom this area leading to matting.

The above cat grooming prices are estimates, with the final price being subject to your cat’s size, coat type, age and temperament. While we can offer estimated quotes based on the information you share when enquiring, the final price will be agreed in person once we have been able to fully assess your cat.
A £30 deposit is required to secure your booking. This is refundable with cancellations in advance of 48 hours notice.
Drop-off or home visit appointments available. Mobile home visit appointments will require an additional charge starting from 2025, with prices from £15 and increasing depending on the amount of travel required.

After a successful career in the education and charity sector, Rois decided to become a cat groomer on discovering there were very few options for cat lovers to have their pets groomed in Witham and the surrounding areas. Already an experienced cat owner and cat sitter, Rois undertook training with the Cat Grooming School London, completing the highest award of Master Cat Groomer in 2024.
We have a range of grooming options to suit your cat’s needs, from nail trimming and dry grooming appointments, to lion cuts and full clips. We conduct expert cat grooming with the right tools and materials to ensure your cat is treated using only pet-safe products.
Essex Cat Grooming currently offers mobile services in your home, or you can choose the ‘drop-off’ option and bring your cat to our home salon in Witham.
